Essential Conversations

Welcome to the Essential Conversations Module which is part of our Essential Leadership Modules (ELMS).

The pre work is an essential part of the programme and will inform the group activities in the session.

The overall objectives of the module are:

  1. Understand what makes a conversation ‘challenging’ and why we respond the way we do.
  2. Build confidence and capability in planning for and handling essential/ challenging conversations.
  3. Identify and plan for behaviours that tend to trigger a negative response
  4. Prepare for an essential/ challenging conversation that they have identified as necessary
